If you're a local, you would say most of the places listed in this area are on the East side, so generally you're going to be headed east of Hwy 97 when you visit. But, in the interests of dividing Bend into manageable proportions, we've grouped all these into our "South" heading because, well, they are more or less at the south end of town.

More spots worth visiting while in the neighborhood:

When you're in the Nashelle & Friends neighborhood, feed your hunger (and spare the wallet) at Aroma Drive Thru and Delivery, a cute and happy, brightly colored place for coffee, baked goods, delicious lunches, deli & smoothies (upscale food at affordable prices). They're at 61540 American Lane, across from Nashelle.

In the same 9th and Wilson area where a lot of our finds above are located, see the Candle Source and Steve Provence Pottery (one of our wonderful local potters – in a new studio space). Further down 9th (about a block, at Armour Drive), take a whirl around Pakit Liquidators, one of our local salvage shops – the sign (made out of reclaimed bits and pieces) is a bit hard to see, but pull in when you see all the "stuff" outside (from toilets and windows to antiques). You never know what you might unearth there.

A bit further down, turn east on SE Textron Dr. to find Redeux, a large and ever-changing home furnishings consignment store, and near it (on SE Bridgeford), Journey of Discovery, a warehouse-style antiques store filled with lots of tasty European pieces. Also on Bridgeford, visit Dwellings, a new consignment furnishings shop.
